LET'S START WITH THE BASICS
The most common door consists of two main parts: from and from.
Front page - the part of the door that opens and closes the door opening. Most commonly, the inner door canvas is made of solid wood or MDF and chipboard.
Permalink - a design element that allows door leaves to be fixed and aesthetically decorates the opening. Generally, modules are offered in standard sizes, which can be installed in any room without exception.
There are two types - standard and telescopic.
Standardised are of a typical design, fixed to the base with glue or nails without caps.
Telescopic are more complex, with special grooves for fixing extensions and plate strips.. Typically, these strips are L-shaped and also allow the width of the door frame to be adjusted. The extensions are also equipped with a groove, which allows the opening to be adjusted to any depth.
Telescopic slides are traditionally made of solid wood veneered with oak or lime.
Telescopic lifts have a number of advantages over simple ones:
- thanks to the use of concealed fasteners, the door module can be assembled without screws, nails or glue;
- telescopic slats can be installed when the wall is tilted away from the vertical axis;
- a more spectacular appearance due to the absence of visible traces of adhesive and hardware products;
- the possibility of hiding any defects around the door frame if the walls are of different thicknesses;
- minimising repair costs;
- sound insulation option;
- the system adapts easily to holes of different depths;
- Can be installed on doors with optional vertical elements.
Door frame
A fixed part of a door to which a door leaf is attached by means of door hinges.
Is the wall wider or higher than the door leaf? There's a solution!
If the wall is wider than the door leaf, the solution is to use an extension. record strips. These additional strips are made of the same material as the doors and are fitted end-to-end to the door frame, making the structure strong.
Doorstep heliostat
Special strips installed around the perimeter of the door structure. These cover the gap between the door frame and the wall when the door is installed.
If, however, the wall thickness is greater than the width of the door frame, you will need. door extensions. These are necessary because otherwise the door will leave part of the wall unadorned, which will detract from the appearance of the room.
Door jamb extension
It is an accessory whose main function is to increase the width of the door frame to the desired size.
